What is the IV Hydration & Nutrient Therapy process?A client interested in IV Hydration and nutrient therapy first needs to be assessed by a licensed practitioner. This could be our in house practitioners or your primary care provider. Once determined you are a good candidate, a nurse will assess your vital signs and prepare you for IV insertion. The nurse will insert a catheter into a vein, which will be attached to a bag of solution. This bag is then hung above the level of your head which allows gravity to carry the fluid into your vein. Once the infusion is complete, the nurse will reassess your vitals to ensure that you are stable for discharge. You will be given discharge instructions and all your questions and/or concerns will be addressed.
